🧶 Three-layer Seam Sealing Tape - WBM FX-800 is a cutting-edge solution for waterproof fabric repair, specifically designed to cater to enthusiasts of wetsuits and other outdoor gear. This high-performance tape combines advanced technology with practical applications, ensuring durability and reliability in the most demanding conditions.
🧶 1. PRODUCT FEATURES: Crafted with a robust Yamomot carrier material, this tape boasts an exceptionally strong hot melt adhesive that is industrial-grade, making it a powerful choice for sealing seams and repairs. Its waterproof properties, along with resistance to sweat, humidity, and heat, ensure that the tape performs exceptionally well in all environmental factors. The stretchable design guarantees it can accommodate the movement of the fabric it adheres to, while also providing significant longevity. Safe for skin contact in both short and long-term applications, this tape can be applied quickly when you identify a flaw in your gear, allowing for immediate repair to maintain the integrity of your equipment.
🧶 2. APPLICATION: The LLPT iron-on tape's versatility allows it to be employed in a variety of applications, including the repair of scattered knitting, DIY joining of tricot fabric for sewing, and as an ideal leak repair solution for materials like Gore-Tex, neoprene drysuits, fishing suits, hoods, rain jackets, and ski wear. Its exceptional adhesion quality makes it an essential tool for maintaining fabric products that are often exposed to water and varying weather conditions. Please note: DO NOT GET THE TAPE WET OR IRON WHEN YOUR SUIT IS WET, and it is crucial to use a wet cloth when ironing to prevent damaging your gear.
🧶 3. HOW TO USE: For optimal sealing, double the length of the tape compared to the leak area. Position the tape directly over the leak, then set your iron to a low-to-medium steam setting suitable for polyester or nylon. Using a wet cloth, cover both the tape and the fabric of your suit. Apply the heated iron to the tape for 5 to 10 seconds, allowing the adhesive to bond effectively. Repeat this process 3-5 times until a distinctive whitened line appears around the edges of the tape, signaling a strong, effective seal. After application, ensure that the repair mimics the appearance of taped seams and check for any loose edges. Reapply the iron if necessary to secure a flawless finish.
🧶 4. ROLL SIZE: Designed with a practical width of 20mm (0.8 inches), this tape is perfect for a variety of repairs and sealing tasks on waterproof fabric garments such as neoprene wetsuits and drysuits. Its substantial thickness of 0.55mm ensures stability during application and durability over time, resulting in less waste compared to thinner iron-on tapes. Once patched, the tape is virtually undetectable, allowing for seamless repairs. Each roll contains a generous total length of 5 meters, providing ample material for multiple applications. The LLPT suit repair tape is a skin-safe product, allowing users to confidently seal leaks or damages within their gear.
